Mission Statment
North West Georgia Home Educators is an intra-denominational Christian Homeschool Group whose purpose is to promote a fun but family oriented learning and fellowship enviroment, providing encouragement to our members and their families. The way we intend to do this is through Co-Operative Learning Experiences, field trips and non-traditional learning experiences. While our homeschooling group is based in Pickens County, families from all over North West Georgia (Gilmer, Cherokee, Fannin, and etc.) are welcome to join our Group.We currently have a Co-OP that meets every Monday from 9 am to 12 noon. Some of the classes being taught in the Co-Op are anatomy, P.E., Oceans, Georgia History and more. The ages for children particpating in the Co-Op is from four years old to teenagers, with nursery care available for younger children. We have field trips, play dates and other activities that families can participate in even if they are not members of the Co-Op section of the group.
